Cedar Creek Grist Mill

In 1876, the Cedar Creek Grist Mill is one of the oldest operating original structures in the state of Washington. The mill offers special events the last Saturday of June, July, August, September and October where employees press over 8,000 pounds of Washington apples into fresh apple cider. On Saturdays and Sundays, tour guides provide educational information about the historical significance of the Cedar Creek Grist Mill. Powered by water, milled grain is offered for a donation and cookbooks, postcards and cultural events (during the summer) are available for visitors. In 2008, visitors from a majority of the U.S. states and 52 countries visited the mill.

In addition, the Cedar Creek Grist Mill site is enhanced by one of the few covered bridges in Washington State. The site cooperates with the Washington Fish and Wildlife Department to provide a fish ladder for spawning.
